HI
I'm trying to populate my google docs spreadsheet for migration into my shopify platform. I have a spreadsheet that contains about 1000 unique items. The spreadsheet is detailed but needs to be formatted properly and more information needs to be gathered. In addition to the spreadsheet. I have a folder that contains over 900 folders of photographs for each item in the spreadsheet. These folders need to be properly named and a path needs to be generated to incorporate into the spreadsheet for migration.
A little context:
There are basically 1000 unique pairs of shoes in this collection. They consist of predominately these 5 brands Nike 85%, Adidas 5%, Asics 5%, Puma 2.5% and other 5%.
1. Each product has the following fields populated, The "Brand Name", the "Product Code" and the "Size".
2. The following fields needs to be populated uniformly,"Sub-category", "Style", "Nickname", "year of release", "retail price" , "color" and the "image src".
3. You need to find the information for the missing fields. It is pretty easy to do.
1. do a simple google search. 99% of the time if you copy and past the stye code. 301654-704, the sneaker information will come up. sometimes you may have to put the brand name and the style code, Nike 301654-704.
2. There are several websites you can use as well for reference. Through their search feature, product categories and various options you can be more efficent.
www.flightclub.com
www.stadiumgoods.com
http://www.sneakerfiles.com/nike-dunks-sb-skateboarding/
http://www.projectsneaker.com/
http://www.holygrailgoods.com/
amazon, ebay etc...
4.Prior to the above shreadsheet being complete, the image path needs to be created. Before the image path can be created, the folders with the images need to be named properly with the following format. "Brand-subcategory-style-nickname-product code" for example; "Nike Air Jordan 11 Concord 378037 107 "
1. Then the image path needs to be copied into the spreadsheet.
Currently the images are only hosted on my computer. I'm open to any solutions you have. I need the files to be cleaned and organized. Bonus if you are familiar with generating SKU's and barcodes as well. I unfortunately don't have much time or money, but am open to solutions. looking forward to hearing from you.
