Boosey & Hawkes is the world's leading publisher of classical music. Most of our clients are conductors, orchestras, opera companies, recording houses, advertisers and film-makers. However we also sell sheet music and CDs direct to the public through our online shop at www.boosey.com/shop.

We have identified a number of "high spenders" in the shop who buy either high value scores or multiple copies of choir or ensemble pieces. We want to understand these customers better to find out how they go about finding and buying sheet music, their motivations and how we could service them better and encourage repeat business.

We want a short, focused, research project to be undertaken during January 2009 (possibly stretching into February if necessary). We will provide a list of email and telephone contacts from which the researcher will have to recruit approximately 12 interviewees. The researcher will, with input from us, draw up a questionnaire and carry out telephone interviews.

In addition the researcher will recruit and manage 2 focus groups with 4 to 6 customers in each. these will be held in the UK, probably in London. Please show the cost of the focus group/s separately.

The output will be a short written report (probably no more than 10 pages) and a presentation to the management group.
