Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Information for the business: Interior Design and Procurement Consultancy
Industry: Art and Design
Brand name/slogan in logo: Evelyn Mae Design
Number of revisions: Up to 5
Ideas for the visual style: Elegant, sophisticated, modern
Things to avoid: Too corporate, shabby chic or vintage
Preferred colors: Greeny golds, teals, duck egg blues, greys - dark t light
Where the design will be used: business stationery, web, print
Extra notes: My company Evelyn Mae Design, is a boutique consultancy providing interior design and procurement solutions to the independent hospitality sector. We work at the premium end of the market and typical clients include boutique hotels, luxury bed and breakfasts and guesthouses, luxury holiday homes and self-catering properties. I am looking to get a new website built (I am aware that the current website is not responsive) and as part of this process a new logo / brand identity. You can view the existing logo and style of the current website here at http://www.evelynmaedesign.co.uk
The new logo / brand identity needs to convey sophistication, elegance, class and professionalism whilst being modern and fresh. I would like something fairly clean and simple - not corporate in looks and likewise not too vintage / shabby chic in styling or too fussy. I definitely want to move away from the heavy block styling of my current logo and the black and white colours used, to something softer with the use of a more contemporary / on trend colour palette.
In terms of inspiration / colour paletets I like, please take a look at the Lymptone Manor website at http://www.lympstonemanor.co.uk
I particularly like the mix of colours they have used - the greeny /golds, very darks greys through to lighters greys and duck egg blues, perhaps also interjected with the use of the colour teal as well. I also like the way they have used a full logo at the top of the website in the top left hand corner with the stork and then further down the page have used an abbreviated version with just the 'LM" and an ammended version of the stork. I am not saying I want a stork in my logo (!), rather I like the way they have a full logo and then a secondary version. Whilst I like the colours used on the Lympstone Manor website, I am open to suggestions on other colour palettes fitting for my brand identity.
The new brand identity will be used across my business stationery, website and printed material and therefore needs to be applicable across all of the above. I would also need a full set of brand guidelines including colour pallets, fonts etc for future use.
I am looking to get this work done imminently. I am interested in getting a business card, letterhead and compliment slip designed as part of the new brand identity.
