Experience Level: Intermediate
The purpose of the role is to make outgoing telephone calls to local companies for the purpose of arranging appointments for our team of consultants (Appointed Representatives) to advise them on our private medical insurance products and services.

Appointed Representatives are authorised to sell the companies range of individual and corporate healthcare plans, throughout the South West of England.

Your objectives are to arrange a satisfactory number of appointments (measured daily, weekly and monthly) and for the quality of those appointments to meet a high
standard.
The following are key measures of quality:-
1. All details on the appointment sheet are accurate.
2. The person we are meeting is expecting us at the date and time specified
3. They know what the meeting is about, and want to meet our consultant.
4. They haven't been told that we will pop in to drop off some details, they do
expect a proper meeting lasting at least twenty minutes (or as long as necessary).
5. The person who is meeting us is the decision maker and is not simply collecting
information for somebody else.
6. The person booking the appointment has not ignored any information given
when the meeting was booked, such as any medical problems or ongoing
claims that were disclosed on the telephone. All such details must be recorded
accurately on the appointment sheet.
7. Due care should be taken to arrange appointments in the correct area and a
realistic travelling distance from the previous appointment.
Once an appointment has been arranged the office will send a letter to the
customer to confirm the agreed time and date and an appointment sheet will be
sent to the consultant advising him of the meeting.
The correct scripting will be followed to ensure compliance with the rules of the regulator.
