Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Require an Auction based website for a start up business idea - Looking for a custom design NOT a Wordpress or any other 3rd party framework.
The site must be fully secure and optimised for smartphone/tablet use
Users to be able to register as either a buyer or a seller.
Seller/customers will be able to create a basic profile with the following functionality, however all sellers will need to be have their accounts verified with admin before actively becoming functional on the site;
Users can also register as a Buyer/customer.
functionality will be similar to that of a seller;
Inbox/Profile/Profile/Account/Summary/Invite Friends
Buyers can search for sellers based on name location or keyword.
Results will be displayed on a embedded google maps as well as lists format.
From the results it will be apparent which buyer have active auctions underway.
There will be an option to join via Facebook log in
Sellers can prefix every aspect of their listing i.e. how long the auction will last for, reserve price, refund policy etc etc
Gallery and a description and picture of the item they are selling as well as a time frame and date of when the item can be viewed (due to the nature of the listing) from a drop down clock and calendar.
Both sellers and customers will have an internal inbox which they can use to communicate with each other and sellers will have a separate sub folder that will contain bid requests
When they find any listing they wish to bid on they will submit a notification of interest to the seller in a message.
The seller will then have the choice of whether to accept decline or request further in formation. If the seller accepts the buyer can then bid on the item.
Once a seller has enough interest on that listing he can close the listing for requests
Next to the item the time reading will be present in a live auction feed.
Automated emails will go to the bidders/seller throughout the process when they’ve been outbid when they’re winning the auction/when they’ve received a payment/ payment confirmation/bid request/listing confirmation/forgotten password/failed to sell/amended listing/deleted listing etc etc `
All the standard auction functionality will be available to sellers as well as bidders throughout the process: retract bid, end listing early, cancel/edit listing etc as well as a full review of who they are getting on in the auction.
As well as social network links there will be an invite friends link which will enable users to invite friends or a referral reward, these credits will be kept count in the backend
Sellers and bidders will be able to set up profile pages with brief details about themselves and some pictures and reviews on previous transactions
Payment options will go through a third party (stripe) that have prewritten/template code for their payment pages that can be implemented
There will be an option for SMS notifications to be activated in the back end as well as an IP filter to prevent people attempting to register that have previously been blocked.
We should be able to see everything that is going on in the back end with full access and option to edit every aspect of any accounts i.e. reviews/ls along with the ability to suspend/delete/reinstate accounts as well as counters to monitor bid retractions, cancelled listings, unpaid items from any offending users.
The backend will also contain folders for the terms of use and the help centre which is just a search box amongst a body of text that will be dropped in in this folder
Footnote:
A full list of step by step instructions available to breakdown and hopefully simplify, a seemingly complicated job!
Deadline:
