Description
Experience Level: Expert
Estimated project duration: Ongoing
I am the manager of physicsandmathstutor.com and I need an assistant to help me with the running and future expansion of the website. To start with, there will only be some admin tasks and over time, you will be taking more responsibility with more hours involved.
I'm looking for someone who can understand the overall running of the business and will feel part of it in the long run.
Some of the tasks involved:
- Downloading, renaming, organising files
- Research of information on the internet
- Updating or creating pages on the website
- Communicating with content creators
- Finding tutors who can teach certain courses
- Managing email and social media
You need to:
- Be organised, efficient and pay great attention to detail.
- Be able to use your judgement where necessary, rather than expecting instructions about every tiny detail from me.
- Have experience of using wordpress. It's an advantage if you know basic html, css and php. (You do not need to be a programmer or web developer. I can teach you anything technical that's necessary.)
- Be willing and able to learn in situations you are unfamiliar with.
- Have gone through the British education system and know how A-levels and GCSEs work
Working hours:
- Starting with a few hours per week, this will increase over time.
- You need to be flexible in terms of times that you're available. I don't have a 9-5 schedule.
- You need to have a short response time when communicating with me.
Please get in touch explaining why you would be suitable, confirming that you meet each of the requirements above and outlining any experience working in an area related to education.
