Description
The PR person would establish a working knowledge of our business and support, field Media and any other type enquiries, these would be paid for as and when they present themselves.
We expect you to have all the media contacts to ensure our articles are being published, not just online publications. We do have some contacts to pass on to you.
We may have some really exciting stories coming up and we want to make sure we are positioned to support and take on increased activity across our business.
Our industry is ' Recruitment' which can be bland, we need someone who can create excitement and juicy content from snippets and headlines that we provide.
Our budget is £600 per annum / £150 per quarter as noted above.
We are going through a period of real change,
Derek F.

Just wanted to ask if you have made an error in requesting an 'expert' PR professional - with wide media contacts (med database services cost a minimum of £150 PER MONTH and media monitoring software subs are also expensive), for the same person to be write two press releases per month, distribute, analyze coverage, be on call to 'field' inquiries, along with the other stated tasks, to bid on this brief that has a stated budget of £150 per quarter (£50 per month!!) ? I sincerely hope that this is a mistake...
Derek F.01 Nov 2016Michelle I have great news for you. We have 8 proposals mainly from the UK, at least are very strong candidates and all within budget, one has actually offered to do some than we requested as in her words 'I don't want to be dishonest'. So the goods news is I will select a worthy freelancer in the next 48 hours. The bad news is with your highly priced time you have just wasted a fair bit publishing a message that wasn't worth the effort. Yours Sincerely No Mistake.
Michele M.01 Nov 2016Derek,
Thank you for your response. I was hoping it was a mistake as I didn't consider that someone in recruitment could so undervalue professional services and post such a wide-ranging brief for such a derisory sum. I along with other pros would likely have bid if your response indicated that you had indeed made an error or were open to negotiation, and as such I don’t mind at all seeking clarification, whatever my earnings might be.
Many thanks for clarifying and I am sure your ‘worthy’ PR freelancer will feel adequately compensated at £50 per month (circa £12.50 per week for a yearly contract) and you will receive value in kind.
