Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
I am looking for a freelance developer to take my existing Android app and rebuild it with a few tweaks for both Android and iOS. At present the app is a sideline venture, but I hope to be able to market it to childcare settings once I have it available across both platforms.
Currently it’s on the Play Store – The Real Game Guide. It’s a filterable database of activities an games for childcare workers to access when planning children’s programmes. It was originally built by a charity in Bangladesh that taught children to code. They guy who ran it is a friend of a friend. I have all the asset files.
The database is currently hosted on back4app.com, which has been transferred from Parse last month.
Developed in Java using Android Studio. Uses Google InAppBilling Version 3. Uses SQLite to store local databases.
It's been suggested to me that it would be a good idea to build using Phonegap or another cross platform tool.
I just want to change some of the filters and get it built for iOS. I can fix up the artwork my end with photoshop and illustrator.

Dear Jonothan
Do you know what language the original apps were written in? Is it Objective C / Java or are they created using something like PhoneGap?
Kind Regards
Mark -
hi , you mentioned in your job title parse
but as you might be aware the parse services are going to retire on Jan28 , so you have two options
a) Open Source Parse Server
b) your own server
which out of two you would like to opt for ?
Thanks -
can you making it more clear of your requirement? is your budget fixed or flexible?
thanks
