Our company requires an advertising sales person to monetize its new business to business web site. The successful candidate can work from home in the South of England or from our office in Winchester in Hampshire. The position is commission only but we will pay travel and phone expenses (up to a maximum of £250 a month), and we would expect a successful applicant to be able to earn £30,000 in their first year and as much as double once they build relationships with major clients. We are a daily email and web service, written by experienced journalists with a proven track record at leading the market in business to business publications and web sites. We expect this to rapidly become the leading site for informing the cellular and wireless community on what's happening within their global community. Your job will be to turn that riveted attention into money, selling banners, email rentals and listings to advertisers in the UK, US and Europe. Those advertisers will range from major corporate players like Alcatel Lucent and Ericsson down to tiny software start ups and conference and research firms. Sales are a combination of telephone, email and face to face, and you will direct your own approach after initial training is given in market and product knowledge.

You will need your own PC, fixed phone line and broadband, be confident on the phone, have two years selling experience and not be awed by mostly London based advertising agencies - because that's where the money is. Commission is 25% of what you sell up to target, then 45% thereafter.
