BACKGROUND:
I’m a one-man consultancy that is increasingly working with a growing portfolio of clients and Joint-venture consultancy partners. I now need the help of a researcher to find and qualify leads that will then be passed on to telemarketers as I do not have time to continue this work myself.

THE WORK WILL INCLUDE:
1. Use of internet research services and tools (provided) to find prospects matching a certain business profile (turnover, location, sector, etc)
2. Checking that these prospects are suitable for marketing (e.g. not already clients / prospects) against a list (spreadsheet)
3. Additional work may include a telephone name-check/cleanse, to target the decision maker
4. Preparing marketing material, such as mailings, and then
5. Handover of prospect data to telemarketing companies/professionals (two) for telemarketing
6. To maintain a list of actively marketed prospects with telemarketing. A total of about 200 prospects in all.

OUTLOOK:
Work may grow into becoming an integral part of the consultancy business e.g. getting and preparing project status updates, and liaison with partnering firms/consultants. Most of the work can be scheduled flexibly - i.e. outside normal business hours.

I will provide access to internet tools/services for researching prospects

MATERIALS / TRAINING:
Access to systems and training will be provided - but best if applicants are local to Watford/St. Albans Area where I am based as, though work will be remote, there will be a need for meeting face to face initially and then occasional reviews at a mutually convenient location.

SKILLS / ATTRIBUTES:
Results oriented
Self-starter
Good general PC & Internet skills
Spreadsheets (Excel)
Marketing background and familiarity with Marketsafe, Creditsafe, and LinkedIn websites a bonus

I posted this requirement originally on 27-05-2010, but have now updated it with further information and detail, and invite you to confirm or revise your bids for a decision in the next 2-3 days (around Monday 14th June) for immediate start. For the right candidate this may extend into a rolling or long term arrangement.
