Why MR1 and MR2 ?
Grower testimonial, 2 en 3 plus grow pictures,
What else?
My name is Jan van Steen, I live in the South of Holland as professional horticultural tomato grower. 15 years ago I took over the glasshouse of my father. I am also a grower. In the last 15 years I have tried many nutrients, but since a few years I grow on Metrop and never want anything else.
Why METROP
Metrop is made of natural very high-graded bio-organic raw materials that are well-adjusted to achieve optimal results with a minim of waste, thus relieving environmental pressure. The macro-elements e.g. MR2-bloom NPK 10-20-40 of Metrop are unchallenged high so I don’t use PK-Boosters anymore. On top of that Metrop contains high quantities and quality micro-elements, which you won’t find in most other bio-mineral fertilizers. This combined with the best balance of macro- en micro-elements makes Metrop the best for me.
Start
After my cuttings become teens I start feeding MR1-Grow, usually after 2 weeks. I grow on a light-mix soil, so I start with 1 time a week and gradually increase the MR1 mixture to 3 times a week. After the light goes into 12 hours modus, depending on the strain, flowers start to burst around the fourth week.
Easy but careful Mixture
With Metrop MR1, MR2 & Calgreen I learned that the best way to mix is; to pre-dilute the green yoghurts in a small cup. I put your measurements of MR1 grow or MR2 bloom with a cup of water, make sure it’s even and smooth like a milkshake, then I poor it into my basin of 100 liters. As I use Calgreen throughout the process I always mix this separately and at the end, making sure the container is low on PH. I used to start with daily feeding, but found that Metrop is really concentrated, so my plant were over-nourished and started to burn. I found that sticking to the dilution- and grow-schedule is really important, I even bought a separate measuring cup to make sure I have the right Milliliters of Metrop.
Heavy Flowers & Buds
After I switched over to 12 hours , after the 4th week I start using MR2. as I am still old-school and do not use auto-flower-seeds. To confirm the start my PH drops a little before I start using MR2. It is amazing what Metrop brings, before I always used additional PK 13-14, but I don’t need it anymore.
Facts & figures
As horticultural professional I always keep tract of my PH and EC. With Metrop PH remains stable at 5,4 - 6,2. I measure EC every day in my medium (including my water) to check that it remains between 0.60 mS and 1.68 mS.
Best Yields ever
It is always great to have a full house-of-plants ready to be harvested, I stop feeding 4 days before I harvest. With Metrop I really have high quality, heavy fruits and buds that are popular with clients and loved by my friends and my family.
Below this text on Page 4 a page dominate grow schedule, with detached sentence of text.
Growschedule (for plants)
Weeks
Hours
PH – recommended PH is between 5.4 and 6.2
Mr1 Grow period can vary per strain, number of plants per m2
Mr2 Flowers/fruit develop in weight & size, no plant grow in height
Bright, warm surroundings make plants to drink more, than in a humit, cool or dim conditions. Experts use less concentration in such surrounding to avoid overfeeding.
This feeding-chart is a guideline. Used with prudence as many factors such as strains, temperature and others can influence massively.
PH - recommended PH is between 5.4 and 6.2
¹ MR 1; Growth-period can vary per strain, number of plants per ft².
² MR 2; Flowers/fruits develop in weight & size, no plant-grow in height.
