What you get with this Offer
MySQL provides two main methods of acheiving High Availability - using a hot-spare master server, and setting up a cluster. The advantage of using a cluster is that all of the servers in the cluster are always available to handle read and write operations, unlike a hot-spare master that requires a failover, during which the database system is unavailable.
MySQL clusters can also simplyify the process of adding more power to your database system without downtime - individual members of the cluster can be swapped out for more powerful hosts without causing any service downtime. This allows you to start with small, cheap servers (even virtual servers work well for initial workloads) and scale up over time.
I can set up a MySQL server cluster using Percona's build of the MySQL database server - this is the same base build that Oracle uses, with additional performance patches. A cluster requires at least two servers (otherwise, what's the point?) and ideally three (to provide quorum in the event of a network split). Once running, the cluster can import data from a normal MySQL database dump, and requires no special query coding - you just connect to any of the cluster hosts and go.

What the Freelancer needs to start the work
You will need to have *at least two servers* running and up-to-date Linux distribution (Debian/Ubuntu preferred, RedHat/CentOS is also great), and provide me superuser access to the intended servers in order to install and configure the services - I will provide an SSH key that should be authorized for access during the work (and can/should be removed afterwards!). I will be working from a fixed IP address (IPv4 and/or IPv6), so you will be able to limit access to the servers to just that address for added security peace of mind.
When the work is completed, you will have a functional MySQL cluster database, ready to use.
