I head up G&M Consulting (in affiliation with Abbotts Martin Solicitors SRA ID: 648288) a team of commercial lawyers and management consultants who deliver commercially focused legal solutions to SMEs, charities, government entities and individuals at competitive rates.
Many of our clients are rapidly growing organisations that recognise the need for legal protection but do not have the cashflow to justify a fulltime inhouse legal team or afford the exorbitant rates most law firms charge. Our agile and experienced team aims to consult with key stakeholders within your business and provide advice that effectively manages and mitigates legal risk, without compromising the pace at which your business operates.
Our Typical Offering
G&M Consulting operates on either a fixed legal fees basis – so you know exactly what you will pay and keep control of costs – or at highly competitive hourly rates, depending on your circumstances and preference. We offer a highly personalised approach and commence every project with an initial free consultation to discuss your specific business needs. This is followed by either a further consultation with relevant team members or direct delivery of a legal solution, as determined by your organisation’s needs and the complexity of the task.
An example of the approach we may take for a rapid-growth SME is as follows:
1. Initial free consultation (30 minutes) to discuss the broad issues your business faces.
2. Deep-dive consultation (of customizable timeframe) meeting with stakeholders across your business to determine the broader issues and appropriately tailor a solution for you.
3. Development of a highly customised contractual framework, such as Service Level Agreements, Supply of Goods Agreements, Website Terms and Conditions, Confidentiality Agreements and I.T. Contracts.
4. Training or direction on use of the legal templates by your team without the need for further legal involvement.

David is an Australian-qualified lawyer and former General Manager with experience as in-house counsel for companies within the Third Sector, Financial Services and Oil & Gas industries. David combines commercial nous and legal acumen to deliver comprehensive, tailored consultancy services aimed at mitigating risk while providing key stakeholders with autonomy from prolonged legal involvement. David has specific experience in strategy and business planning, management restructuring, people management, contractual template drafting, policy development & implementation of major I.T. contracts.
