What you get with this Hourlie

As an MA Hons graduate in English Literature from the University of Edinburgh, I have an impeccable grasp of the English language including all aspects of grammar, syntax, sentence structure and spelling. Having worked full-time as proofreader and copywriter for four years, I have a vast amount of experience in transforming dull, tired and inaccurate copy into smooth, concise and grammatically sound pieces of prose.

I pride myself on the thorough and meticulous nature of my work, running over every sentence three times to ensure I weed out every single error and misstep. I'm adept at not only removing mistakes and tidying up syntax, but also sharpening the language, improving sentence structure and adding a sheen to the document, all without changing the tone or the voice which the original author was trying to convey.

In the past I have proofread and edited all manner of documents, from novel manuscripts to entire websites, proving a versatile and variform ability with language. I have also neatened up translated texts, transforming broken or pidgin English into polished and professional sounding copy. I have never once missed a deadline, nor received negative feedback, and I pride myself on continuing that exemplary record. See my profile for confirmation of my impeccable reputation and examples of glowing reviews from many satisfied customers.

My fees are £10 per 1,000 words and I can offer a 48-hour-guarantee on all documents up to 10,000 words (£100). For larger documents, the deadline and fee will be negotiable.

What the Seller needs to start the work

The document in question and any specific requirements pertaining to the proofreading / editing process, as well as the preferred English spelling (UK or US). I require the document in MS Word format and will use TrackChanges to display my amendments - this function is especially useful for those learning English as a second language or for those not confident in their writing skills, as it allows them to see their own errors and improve.
