I have good skills in PHP development working with it for around 15 years (I'm 40 years old), my preference is class based coding over procedural having worked with MVC frameworks mainly in the form of CodeIgniter.
Currently I am involved in a lot of WordPress development such as developing custom themes using child themes, with a number of my clients I worked for freelance calling on me to setup, maintain, make alterations and build custom themes from PSD for them. I am also familiar with custom plug-ins though I have never been called on to create any plug-ins.
I have strong skills in Front end HTML, CSS, JavaScript (Ajax/jQuery), PHP, MySQL and Version control using GIT/SVN, understanding of SEO and best technical practices, experience with eCommerce systems, WooCommerce.
I typically tend to work with and create responsive layouts these days with mobile devices in mind, and follow an Object-Oriented CSS approach to my layouts and styles as my preference out of habit, see http://oocss.org/
I lack practical experience with some modern JS frameworks like Angular.js, Vue, and REACT, although I am aware of them and from what I understand many of the javascript based libraries should be quick to pick up if you understand jQuery, and I have been following courses on Udemy.com to learn them.
I also have a lot of skills in other areas such as, web hosting, email, SEO, domain names, IT support, things like PDF creation, working with images, creating HTML and websites from PSDs, and email marketing, along with good knowledge of Linux command line and server configuration. I'm pretty good at picking up any new things quickly if required, if it is not currently within my skills too.
I have developed many bespoke applications such as CMS systems, SEO report ranking tools, Booking systems, Blogs and forums previously, I have a good knowledge of using things like CURL to post and fetch data and filtering it such as data mining, and I have developed quite a few other scripts and websites as personal projects over the years such as an instant messenger, a video player, webcam script and image library too in my own time, even running a Shoutcast based Internet radio for a while.
