I write fiction (my novel CRONE is available now - Jeannie Wycherley - along with a range of short stories). I also write non-fiction, blogs and articles. I have a wide ranging knowledge about many things and am passionate about travel, society and culture, literature and animals. If I don't know something, I make it my job to learn about it!
I'm a historian by training (first class BA Hons, MA, PhD). My primary areas of expertise are British and European social and cultural history, with an emphasis on family, masculinity, femininity, sexuality, gender, class, power and feminism but I will turn my hand to anything post 1800.
I worked in education from 1996 to 2012. I have written a number of scholarly articles and presented at conferences. Over the final eight years of my teaching career I was primarily teaching research and study skills to higher level students, supervising dissertations, and proof reading and editing the written work of students and colleagues.
Since January 2013 I have been freelance. I write every day. If you have a project in mind, get in touch.
Area Covered: writing, proof reading, editing, blogging, social networking, article writing, idea formulation
