I work across a range of Social Networks, use hash tags in Facebook and Twitter, and labels in Blogger. I synchronise posts across Social Networks using automated social network marketing tools such as IFTTT and Dlvr.it. I also write content rich posts to improve SEO. I have experience of HTML, Photoshop, MySQL, Email design, Turbolister and some experience of content management, Dreamweaver, business photography and Illustrator.
I also work part-time as a Freelance Writer and have had a number of articles published.
I have extensive administrative experience within a variety of environments including the Education Department of Stoke City Council. Whilst at the City Council, my customer service skills were very important. These customer service skills were developed through front of house roles and information delivery roles. I am able to deliver accurate advice drawing from a range of legislation. Furthermore, I am experienced at providing advice in a sensitive and appropriate manner.
I have a good knowledge of Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook and Publisher. These packages have been used to produce charts, pivot tables, reports, mail merges, presentations and desk top published material. I also have accurate and fast touch typing skills. I am able to copy type at 60wpm. I used a range of IT packages as an Information Officer and have extensive experience of different software packages across my work experience.
When I worked as an Information Officer I used the Internet and an online database to locate information resources. I was responsible for ensuring the service had an up-to-date online presence through Social Networking sites including Facebook, Twitter and Blogspot. I created news posts on our blog profile, managed the page gadgets and developed the blog for search engine optimisation (SEO). I also located relevant RSS feeds and managed interaction between Facebook, Blogspot and Twitter using Hootsuite and dlvr.it. I also used a bespoke database on a daily basis to record and monitor customer interactions. I wrote detailed reports in Word and produced presentations using Powerpoint. I believe I have excellent IT skills.
My creative writing and copywriting skills are excellent. I believe I produce well-researched, eye-catching, Search Engine Optimised copy that is presented appropriately to the audience. I have some experience of HTML alongside Adobe Photoshop, Dreamweaver and Illustrator. My knowledge of Social Networking technologies is excellent. I am able to utilise these technologies to enhance company profiles on Search Engines. I believe that I am extremely creative whether I am designing a poster, writing an article or helping to design a website. I have the determination to apply my creative skills to a variety of different disciplines.
Through my previous role, I developed a good working knowledge of Mapinfo (GIS package). This includes the production of thematic maps. My data processing skills includes experience of building SQL queries. I am analytical and methodical when processing data and creating reports.
I have designed and delivered many one-to-one and group training sessions. This has utilised my organisational and communication skills. I have experience of project co-ordination including the management of a Information Group and the delivery of a Social Network project.
Attention to detail was a vital part of my Information Officer role. A high level of accuracy was required when using the bespoke customer database. It was also necessary that information delivered to customers, either online, in writing or in person was accurate and appropriate.
I believe I have excellent problem solving skills. Part of my role as an Information Officer was to provide appropriate advice and guidance to members of the public. Often resolutions to problems needed to be found within the moment and without guidance. I was also an active team player when problem solving was needed at departmental level.
I believe in education and have taken time to successfully study for a HNC in Business, a First Class Open Honours Degree, Diploma in Sociology, a Certificate in Computing and Information Technology and an NVQ in Advice and Guidance Level 3.
