What you get with this Offer
Website accessibility is the process of ensuring your designers and developers produce a website that can be seen and used by disabled people with many kinds of disability. This is required by law in most countries; for instance by the Equality Act 2010 in the UK, under EU regulations in all European countries, the ADA and Section 508 in the US, the DDA in Australia, and so on. All these countries require compliance with the WCAG 2.0 Level AA, the internationally recognised standard of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines.
This base package is a minimum accessibility audit, where I test your Home page, then look at other pages in the time available for other issues that experience indicates are likely to have accessibility issues. I will create a report, in PDF format, showing all the issues found in this audit, why they are accessibility problems and, most especially, how to fix them.
My specialty is providing detailed solutions for your developers, so they won't have to chase all round the internet trying to find out what to do to fix the problems. Being 15 years a web developer myself before moving into the accessibility field enables me to do this, and gives you a comprehensive service that most consultants in this field cannot match.
I use manual visual assessment, keyboard testing, and one screen reader (normally JAWS or NVDA, the two most widely used readers), and other suitable tools. Note: You receive an irrevocable, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual licence to use, copy, print, save, archive the audit report and to distribute it within your own organisation; copyright remains with the author.
More pages can be audited at a much reduced rate by arrangement through the PPH Workstream (reduced because such sections as the page header and footer have already been done on the Home page so do not require testing again).
