What you get with this Offer
Do you have a head full of musical ideas but you're not confident about writing them down?
Perhaps you're a singer-songwriter with a new band, and you want to get them up to speed quickly on your songs?
Or you're a songwriter looking to sell your song to a singer or publisher?
Maybe you just want something recorded in print, for posterity?
Let me help you! Send me audio (I'm not fussy about format or quality as long as I can hear it), and you'll receive a finished, professionally-typeset lead sheet as a PDF which you can print, read off a tablet, email, sell... I can also send you a MIDI file if that's helpful. The file you send me can be as simple as a voice memo on your phone, or a Youtube video.
Lead sheet includes the melody line, lyrics below the stave or in a block at the end, and chord symbols above the stave (where present in the audio). The chord symbols should be a good guide for anyone accompanying you on guitar/bass/piano/organ - if you need a detailed note-for-note transcription of accompaniment parts, I'd be happy to give you a competitive quote, but these are outwith the scope of this Hourlie.
If you'd like the sheet music for a transposing instrument (e.g. trumpet, clarinet) or bass clef (e.g. cello, tuba), that's no problem, just let me know what instrument(s) it's for, and I'll make sure it's in the right key and range.
NB: I don't want to get involved with copyright infringement. Please only book this if you own the rights to the music you need transcribed, or you have the permission of the copyright owner. Publishers do grant permission to make transcriptions/arrangements, but it might cost you. Ask before booking if you have any doubts.

What the Freelancer needs to start the work
I just need an audio file to work from - mp3, aac, wav, m4a, ogg, flac, whatever, really. A link to an audio/video stream e.g. Soundcloud/Bandcamp/Youtube/Vimeo is also totally fine. It doesn't have to be an amazing performance, just one where I can make out the notes. If you're recording unaccompanied vocals, sometimes tapping the beat in the background can be a good help, but it's not necessary.
