What you get with this Offer
The UKIPO offers an excellent "Opinions" service where they deliver a non-binding opinions on whether a given patent is valid or not.
Whether you have a patent of your own that is being challenged, or you want to challenge someone else's patent, the Opinions service is a great early step and the UKIPO charge just £200 for it. The process takes just 3 months.
But applying for an opinion is not totally straightforward. You need to send the UKIPO the correct submissions to get a useful opinion. Specifically, a "written statement" must be filed along with the correct UKIPO forms.
As a European Patent Attorney with 10 years industry experience, I can help ensure that your application for an opinion is submitted correctly to get the most out of the Opinions service.

What the Freelancer needs to start the work
The most important thing I need is a list of prior art that might be relevant to the patent and an explanation of why you think it is relevant.
In addition, we are obliged to inform the UKIPO of either of the following
(i) Are you aware of any relevant legal proceedings concerning the patent (underway or completed) in the the UK or Europe?
(ii) Are you aware of any parties who would be interested in the opinion. e.g. a licensee of the patent or someone else involved in a dispute?
