When doing my Master's Degree at The University of Queensland in Australia, I took health economics elective courses. I learnt abour economic evaluation in health and health economic studies. I did a research proposal entitled: " Demand for Infant Health Care in Early Childhood: Does the type of birth affect it? The case of the Chilean Public Health System". This research proposal aims to introduce an innovative contribution to the study of demand for health care. The main objective is to explore how the type of birth – cesarean section or natural childbirth – influences the demand for infant health care during the first five years of age in the public health sector in South Central Chile. A Box-Cox transformation and a log-linear demand function is proposed, considering type of birth and other infant’s and parent’s characteristics as variables, using a Grossman model approach.
I hope to be considered for working with you. I am very responsible, professional in every thing I commit to do and I would like to apply my knowledge as well as learn more about my favourite field, which is health economics.
