As a solicitor for 27 years, I specialized in family law, probate, wills and conveyancing, with knowledge of other areas of law. Please note that as I retired 10 years ago, I no longer give legal advice, as it would not be sufficiently up to date. I have good management, telephone, communication and personnel skills having been a partner in a small suburban solicitors' practice, responsible for getting in clients and maintaining good client relations and hiring and training staff. I am computer literate and in my youth was a good secretary/personal assistant. I have built my own website, and blog pages and have a general knowledge of using Photoshop and working with photographs. I also paint, and draw caricatures.
I have written numerous articles about human rights, gardening, recipes, books and product reviews under the name of Diana Grant and Gloriousconfusion. I also write poetry.
As a retired solicitor, I am no longer in a position to give legal advice, as I am not covered by insurance and my knowledge of law is 10 years out of date. I notice from past requests that people would like advice about commercial law, but this is not my speciality. Also my administrative skills do not cover transforming documents from one type to another, or working in Excel and accounting programmes - I attended Secretarial College before computers were even invented!
