(He reviewed about 20,000 proposals from which he gleaned only 1,000 titles.)
In 2010, he placed 10 new book projects (and a series of 40 titles) with publishers. These titles were mostly in Christian spirituality, ethics, and history, but he works more broadly including fiction.
He has served two terms on the board of Independent Book Publishers Association and taught sessions on proposals and evaluation at Publishing University.
He has led numerous sessions at academic meetings on the business of publishing and how to write strong proposals.
Through My Literary Coach, he wants to help more authors get published. The ticket is writing and submitting better proposals to a well-researched list of publishers.
When indicated, Timothy provides coaching by phone (or email) to selected authors. There is no charge for the first 30-minute session. He offers weekly sessions and unlimited emails in between. This service is the "coaching" part.
He has assembled a network of other publishing professionals to ensure that the advice given is current and services are delivered promptly. He or one of his associates will research and write a publishing proposal for a standard fee.
My Literary Coach provides an excellence process to achieve satisfaction for all services provided. These services are performed in the U.S. or the U.K., but available in many other places.
Area Covered: Non-fiction how-to or solutions books; fiction in YA and adult.
