My role involves writing and reviewing contracts for government employees, which includes, but not limited to, includes Doctors, Nurses, and Police Officers. I am also involved in short-listing candidates for jobs, and sitting on interview panels. My role requires exceptional interpersonal skills and a critical attention to detail.
My skills include undertaking research at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. I hold both a BSc (Hons) Degree in Public Health, and also an MSc Degree in Health Services Management.
Undertaking research within a social science setting at both undergraduate and postgraduate level.
Holistic approach and consideration to issues affecting public health, such as government policy and law, welfare and health services, and social and environmental policy.
Considerations of the future planning and delivery of healthcare services at both a local and national level. Strategic leadership within healthcare, commissioning and procuring services, managing and promoting innovation, leading change.
Knowledge relating to the importance of charity support and intervention within the healthcare sector on the Isle of Man, specifically towards breast cancer patients.
Knowledge relating to the similarities and differences between the structure of the Isle of Man Health Service and that of England, specifically Fylde and Wyre CCG. Comparing both areas, paying particular attention to the management and delivery of breast cancer services. What can be learned, identifying both effective and ineffective service delivery pathways, to further improve the delivery of health services to patients.
