I do not like writing bad reviews. Vortex has repeatedly asked me to give them a 5-star review. I have held off for over a month because, in all honesty, I do NOT feel right giving them a 5-star review. I am entitled to leave a user review, and so I will be leaving a 100% honest, factual review based on my side of the experience. The overall website and tool is a project which took one year to complete.

Pro's:
* I like the design that they came up with
* They took my vision and executed to become a realistic website
* They were very attentive during the first 4-5 months.

Cons:
* Was given a document at the outset stating overall website would take approx four months to complete however I ended up demanding my files in May this year because all progress had ceased and I refused to release money to them whilst there were still so many errors.
* They kept blaming for me for the extensive delays, yet the content they requested was provided in Sept & Oct last year and the delays only intensified after this time.
* They delivered an unfinished tool which I grew tired of waiting for even after concessions for COVID 19.
* They couldn't get part of the Laravel developed tool to work correctly, which was my main concern from the beginning. This part was in relation to the original scope of work and not additional. Another developer had this section fixed within 48 hours.
* Communication became very strained, and I was very very frustrated by the lack of progress
* I had to get PPH admin involved on two occasions to help move the project along.
* I have been told that the "laravel code" was a mess and not written in standard laravel format which made it hard for anyone else to work on the website. In fairness, I do not know laravel code myself, but this was the same feedback from 4 different laravel experts, 3 of which refused to work on fixing because the code was a mess.


I am sure you can see that this is factual and written without emotion. To be clear, I am happy with the overall design which Vortex created but this is as far as it goes. Communication and progress to complete the project was an issue since late January this year, up until the point where I received my refunds and ceased working with them in June this year. PPH was very good in helping to resolve the issues.

Hi Karin, it pains me to see this review despite your promise of a 5-Star review when we agreed to do additional work on your website for free and fixed the bugs that your other developer caused in the flawless website and novel Laravel tool that we developed for you.

Apart from you, I haven't come across any other client during our 1,700+ projects journey (all with 5-star ratings and glaring reviews) on PPH who has threatened us into giving them refunds even after getting 100% working full project files, blackmailed us into doing free work by holding payments and finally leave a bad rating when I told you we won't be able to work for free any more on the problems your other developers are creating and shall be charging post-project fees.

I agree that the project got delayed but apart from some delay at our end a major part of the delay was caused at first by your hospitalization and unavailability and later due to lockdowns during Corvid-19. However we still compensated you for it.

That being said, there was nothing lacking in the website or the Laravel tool in terms of design or working and you know it in your heart!

I would say that you are an exception and PPH absolutely has wonderful clients who value our work, time and efforts that we put into creating amazing web solutions for them and respect us by paying what was agreed and giving honest ratings and reviews, unlike you. Thanks to PPH we got paid for our month’s of hard work on your project.

However, BudgetHealth is still our baby and we have put a lot more effort and sweat into it than we were paid for and I wish the website and you the best of luck on the world wide web.
