Sorry to report that this was a bit of a nightmare. Started well, but ended badly. My site was a challenge with old custom code, and it needed an overhaul. Magnus knew this from day 1 and it was made crystal clear we were only doing lite updates at the moment, nothing structural as I planned do an overhaul next year. In the end he broke the site twice. He blamed the condition of my site for the breaks. I wanted to know what was going on as other developers had worked on my site within the last 6 months with no issues like Magnus had. I hired a very experienced developer to look around in there and give me feedback. He reported that there was no reason the site should break like that given what he saw in the condition of the site. I think Magus just made some poor choices in his work, or was in a little over his head with a very tricky site. I disputed the 5 hours he charged for me the 2nd site break. (I had already paid for 8 hours to fix the first one.) Then shortly after I suggested we compromise on the disputed amount: I proposed we go 50/50 so we could be done with it. No – he was not willing, and had become increasingly bullying and offensive, called me a thief, was ranting frustrations aggressively. The amount in dispute, divided equally in 50% shares would’ve been only under $100 each. Not much; this wasn’t about the money. I ended up paying the full amount so I could clear myself from an unpleasant situation. Please be cautious.
