Alongside this, I have done an array of extra jobs spanning online and printed advertising and promotional work, animation for live visuals and for film, product design, branding, front end web design, retail advertising, storyboarding, conceptual art, animatics and character design.
Beyond my design and animation skills, I worked for three years as an exhibitions organizer, sourcing new artists from across the UK and then preparing and running shows as part of the curating team. Within this, I would curate shows from time to time, ran pop-up shows for the gallery off-site and also ran a number of fully attended arts workshops. To build on this, a collegue and I have recently started "Space to Create" - a small group for facilitating arts workshops for the young designed to aid public spaces in creating meaningful connections with visitors and helping them to expand their audiences.
I studied Illustration at Loughborough University School of Art and Design, from which I graduated in 2007. I animate using combinations of Photoshop, Illustrator, Aftereffects and Flash (CS4) with occassional use of hand-drawn elements. I also have working experience of Final Cut Pro and Resolume and have have CRB clearance to work with children.
If you've a project you are considering me for, no harm in asking some questions. I am willing to discuss your ideas and should you have budget concerns, we can explore what would be possible within the time your allocated budget allows.
I am on this website to offer my services within the digital arts, but if you are interested in hiring me on projects relating to gallery events, workshop facilitation/lecturing or events co-ordination in general, please do get in touch.
I've a blog you can peruse too, have a look at http://www.littlecanarytweets.blogspot.com
