I have been working as In-Country Manager for Lifestart Foundation, an Australian charity based in Vietnam, since September 2009. I am responsible for managing operations within Vietnam, developing the role and strategy of Lifestart Foundation, and ensuring that charity funds are spent in the best way.

Work Experience Summary: My role as an In-Country Manager for Lifestart Foundation, an Australian charity working within Vietnam, involves the following:
Managing three Vietnamese staff members including capacity building the Trainee In-Country Manager building her management,
project management and administration skills.
Developing the computer skills of staff to ensure the long-term sustainability of Lifestart Foundations work in Vietnam,
and delegating functions over to local staff where possible.
Managing volunteers and producing guidelines and local information to ensure that their stay within Vietnam is as successful
and comfortable as possible.
Interviewing potential recipients, including educational scholarship students, deciding whether and how we can help them
and checking the information provided for accuracy.
Researching fundraising opportunities and applying to trusts and private organisations for grants for funding, and following
up with progress reports for successful grants.
Producing and updating marketing material to promote our work, and finding volunteers to translate where appropriate to
ensure it is accessible to all.
Reviewing and updating website content using Wordpress to provide accurate, up-to-date information which is easy to read and engaging. This includes developing content for an online store and gift certificates.
Responding to inquiries including screening potential volunteers, providing information about our work and encouraging
Developing systems and processes to ensure consistent ways of working.
Education Summary: I have a Honours degree in Psychology gained from the Open University.
