An accomplished PA with a HR generalist background who has gained over 20 years experience working in partnership with clients, managers and employees providing a comprehensive support service in various diverse small, medium and large complex organisations within the public, private, charity and service sectors.
I am now looking for a freelance work in which I can use my already proven ability in all aspects of PA, HR, Accounts & administration whilst dealing with a wide range of projects aimed at driving an organisation forward in line with best practice
Throughout my career, I have taken the lead in managing recruitment campaigns and the resolution of Human Resources issues. My background as given many skills that can be also used within the management/PA or administration arena, I have a particular interest in research, networking, communications and project work.
I would describe my disposition as highly motivated, conscientious, enthusiastic and a pro-active individual who can quickly establish a rapport and a professional working relationship with staff and clients. Throughout my career, I have taken the lead in Employee Relations resolving grievances and managing the disciplinary process as well as setting up recruitment campaigns to meet the growth of quickly expanding organisations. I have proven experience initiating a vast number of recruitment & selection programmes for a variety of roles, such as Directors, Senior Managers, Scientists, IT, Engineers, Drivers, Events Executives, Call-Centre staff and Administrative staff. Competent in using various recruitment methods e.g. the design, delivery and evaluation of Assessment Centres, interviewing & general assessment, including the provision of selected feedback including ability/aptitude, psychometric tests and personality questionnaires, recruitment fairs and developing working partnerships with employment agencies, local schools and colleges.
In my most recent employment with DSTi Output and the Environment Agency (EA), both organisations employed over 3,000 staff, I was responsible for the management of all aspects of major organisational change projects to achieve culture change and efficiency savings, in particular for the EA headcount reduction and structural changes with responsibility for the Hay’ job evaluation process by delivering an effective and robust process to develop and evaluate job profiles and job descriptions.
In many of my HR roles I have been the key presenter when announcing/introducing changes to terms and condition e.g. pay structures & pay awards, TUPE, harmonisation of contracts, performance and development management including objective setting and supporting individuals to develop via personal development plans or appraisals.
