Since then I've worked on battery systems for BEV and PHEV products for a large car manufacturer here in the UK. I've also had exposure to electromechanical engineering when Woking on RF amplifiers and RF communication systems.
I've got strong knowledge of injection molded components, die castings, extrusions, sheet metal work, sintered metal parts as well as some knowledge of composite component design.
I've worked in environments where parts are produced by the thousands and where parts are simply one offs or customer specific. With that, I'm able to design parts and assemblies matching the production methods desired or even advise on the best way of going out it.
From a software perspective I'm most comfortable with CATIA V5 and Siemens NX however I'm able to use Solidworks, Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD (started on that when I was 11!).
My interests outside of work are generally my personal engineering projects. I'm always looking to improve things weather that be my extruder on my 3D printer or designing my own amplifiers. The reason for being on here is that I get to work on even more, interesting projects.
I can provide a complete cradle to grave service including component manufacturing at scale and prototype, complete dimensioned and toleranced drawings, manufacturing instructions, off the shelf component sourcing, recycling and end of life disposal information.
