Two years I have no regrets and am hungry for new exciting projects.
My strengths lie in publishing (in particular magazine publishing) and I relish the challenge of working to tight deadlines. I also love branding projects and enjoy designing for the web. I have some skills in coding and modifying themes for Wordpress for a cost effective way to get a great looking site. I have had job-related training in designing search engine optimised websites and measuring site traffic statistics.
I am an extremely organised and efficient worker and can turn deadlines on their head. I enjoy working closely with clients and would love the opportunity to forge some solid relationships.
Area Covered: Suffolk/Essex/Norfolk
Summary: I have gained work experience in a number of different design environments which has enabled me to gain great insight into a variety of projects both online and offline. I gained my first real training in a publishing services agency in Cambridge with contracts from publishing companies such as Penguin, Pearson and Cambridge University Press. These contracts were mainly related to educational publishing and gave me the opportunity to learn about book design and to consolidate my knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
I built on this knowledge in my time with Today Type and Design, where I was given full responsibility for securing and designing website projects. This included development of search engine optimised websites and exploration into the use of Wordpress as a content management system. I also worked on an extensive number of branding projects including packaging, logos, marketing material and signage.
I am now gaining experience in working for a larger company where I am expected to deliver great results to tight deadlines. The magazines which I produce are high end products with an emphasis on luxury and class.
I enjoy and indeed rely on freelance projects to keep my design skills sharp and to develop ideas based on current trends.
