My long-standing work experience has enabled me to build a broad and diverse skill, which will suit for the position advertised. Controlling income stream with confidence by utilising my skill set such as, communication skills in executive level, excellent IT skills, strong numeracy, prioritising workload, customer relations etc. Microsoft Office Excel is my strong suit, which I count myself being at advanced level.
At London Churchill College as an Accounts officer in 2009 I had to build up an accounting administrative system to kick start income flow of the company. Challenging points on this task were that company did not have accounting procedure to follow up due payments and up-to-date record keeping system. I had to start everything from scratch and implement accounting procedure, which included applying time limits to overdue payments, inserting all transactions into database and creating internal accounting report to Finance director and implementing terms and conditions which turned the companies accounting system to the right direction. I have been awarded with MacBook Pro for achieving income stream of £1.2 million from overdue payments.
Masters in finance taught me strong analytical skills, which I put in use in my recent role as Social Media Analyst at BBC and Finance officer role at UK Business academy. Working in small team enabled me to improve multitask operating skills. I have a proven track of developing and implementing procedural improvements that assist in increasing income flow coupled with more effective reporting systems.
I have used number of communication methods such as, email, telephone, post, to reach out to due payments. I dealt with customers face to face to come into agreement for the outstanding balance. I have strong persuading and influencing skills, which I utilised to date at work.
I handled different methods of payment. I have good understanding of debit and credit payments. I have experienced taking payments over the phone or at the presence of customer, cash and cheque payment handling. Above all I want to highlight the accountability that requires when dealing with payments and I am a reliable person with strong integrity to personal information of customers.
IT skills have been integral part of my jobs to date. I have excellent understanding of technology and its apps. I have advanced knowledge of Microsoft office applications, especially Excel. During my undergraduate studies I self learnt Excel to advanced level, which I utilised it at workplace. I can also operate Sage Line 50 and Sage Line payroll, Bloomberg database and Eviews 7 accounting and financial application.
