Education Summary: - Read for a D.Phil. (Doctorate of Philosophy) degree in Modern History at University College, Oxford. My research took me to the British Library and National Archives in London, and various archives in Leeds, Southampton and the University of Michigan. My thesis - which has yet to be submitted - is on George Canning, British Prime Minister in 1827, and how his \'Canningite\' followers redefined the political centre.
- MA (Master of Arts) degree in History of International Relations from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), graduating with Merit. The course specialised in twentieth century history and politics, covering the Third Reich, Cold War, Second World War, and recent American Presidents and British Prime Ministers.
- BA (Bachelor of Arts) degree in History from the University of East Anglia (UEA), graduating with upper second class Honours (2:1). This course covered similar areas to those dealt with in my Masters, but also US politics, the history and politics of international sport, the Soviet Union, and twentieth century British political history.
