I have worked in a variety of sectors throughout my working life including for sixteen years as a Personal Assistant to a Headteacher in a busy Cheshire Secondary School with over 1,000 students. In addition I was also the Clerk to the Governing Body at the School. My role developed over the years from Office Manager, through to being made his Personal Assistant with a wide range of responsibilities including the management of the administration team, coordinating the recruitment of both teaching and support staff, developing, implementing and maintaining a wide range of Office procedures including the Prospectus, Handbooks, Press Releases and PR and all Policies and Procedures in conjunction with the Local Authority. The majority of my work was highly confidential and this led me to closely work with external agencies such as the Police, Educational Welfare, Child Protection, Social Services, School Health and Drug Prevention teams. My "talent" for being able to type accurate minutes direct onto a laptop enabled Minutes to be disseminated at the end of each meeting, but I am also proficient in using Audio Technology. I undertook the IPD Certificate in Personnel Practice with a specialism in legal issues which enabled me to assist the School when dealing with student exclusions, appeals and staff discipline issues. In addition I have copy-typed and proof-read a novel, produced a number of student dissertations and also a wide range of both legal and medical documents. I have an extremely fast turn-round of work and firmly believe in my "tag" line that "You want it when?.....NO problem!"
