Although my main language pairs are Indonesian to English and Malay to English, I would like to emphasize that I do have some experience translating from French and Spanish, to the complete satisfaction of my clients, and I feel especially competent to translate from those languages in the area of my academic specialization because I am able to bring a certain depth of scholarship to bear on the interpretation of such materials that might not be possible for a general translator without the same background.
I do not have formal qualifications in French but have acquired a high degree of reading fluency in that language in the course of my research. (One of my research reports was published in L’Homme, the leading French journal of structural anthropology).
