I am a well qualified and highly skilled professional with over 24 years experience. My extensive office support and administration experience range from Personal Assistant /Office Manager, Events Organiser and Induction Coordinator. I also have extensive Project Management experience having worked on a number of large, national projects since 1999. The nature of the positions I have held required a high level of responsibility and solid organisational skills and have given me a thorough understanding of project management methodology and office administration at all levels.
Throughout my employment experiences I have developed excellent organisational, keyboard and computer skills. My skills are those one would expect of a top level professional including, but not limited to:
• advanced knowledge of the MS Office Suite in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• intermediate proficiency in MS Access and MS Project;
• audio transcription;
• proofreading and editing;
• copy typing (75⁺wpm);
• data entry (alpha and numeric);
• research projects;
• composition of professional correspondence;
• extensive diary management;
• lifestyle management;
• complex travel and hotel arrangements (both UK and overseas);
• office management;
• accounting and finance;
• meeting arranging and hosting;
• minute taking support at meetings and events; and
• mail merge, mail shots and newsletters.
As well as working on a contractual basis for project management roles, I have also been working on a freelance basis since 2009 providing virtual secretarial and administrative support services, proofreading, copy editing and transcribing services for private clients, a range of Masters and PHD students, academics at the University of Leeds and other private companies such as Communisis, an online digital marketing company. My transcription experience includes the transcription of interviews, focus group meetings, research group discussions, advertisements, conference calls within the NHS, academics, management consultants, media and entertainment industry and general transcription.
The experience of having worked on a self-employed basis for private clients in both the public and private sectors in a range of industries (telecommunications, interior design, education, health, property, finance and legal), has made me well versed in a variety of business practices.
I always remain calm in any situation and work with the utmost integrity and discretion. All work undertaken is treated in a highly confidential nature, often working under pressure and to tight deadlines but always paying great attention to detail. I consider myself to be honest, dependable, organised and very efficient; a creative, enthusiastic and proactive multi-tasker who is positive, easy to work with and someone who just gets on with the job.
Due to the diverse nature of my work, a flexible and adaptable approach is always maintained.
I look forward to working with you!
