I grew up in New York City and graduated from Yale University. I currently live and work in Bogotá, Colombia, as a freelancer, teaching English, editing, and writing for clients in Colombia and other countries. I am an expert in the style and mechanics of the English language. I have written and edited for years, employing those skills professionally in journalism and business. I also have extensive experience studying and teaching both spoken and written English. I am familiar with multiple style manuals and am comfortable writing and editing English of all types and for all purposes, from literature to advertising copy to technical reports. I am also experienced in and available to do other journalism- or teaching-related work. Most of my work doesn't require Spanish, but my knowledge of the language is helpful on many internationally focused projects.
