I have many years experience of editing and writing for magazines in the UK in a number of different sectors, among them fundraising, human resources, ophthalmic nursing, trades unions, mental health, women's issues and life in general.
I undertake copywriting, creating website copy, interviewing and writing case studies, (ghost) writing articles for different media, commissioning, writing and producing newsletters and e-newsletters. I can produce reports from your information, carry out research, write letters, check documents and other materials, edit and rewrite as needed. I am passionate about using good, readable English in everything I do, making copy stand out so your clients or audience will want to read it. I often work with clients whose first language is not English.
I am reliable, straightforward, communicate well, and deliver work on time.
As well as writing, I'm a knitting junkie, cake and bread baker, play tennis and badminton and volunteer for a tiny animal welfare charity in Goa, India (www.gawt.org) and spend two months there each winter. I'm interested in travel, animals, crafts, food, nutrition, wildlife and the environment among many other things and am happy writing on any of those topics.
For the last couple of years I have been working on one large project, but am now ready to take on more work again.
