I have managed businesses from start up and had to manage established ventures to turn around to profitable and compliant operations
I have extensive experience in Commercial and contract negotiation, strategy planning and management, process management and development and service level agreements,corporate governance and legislative compliace (especially in the Financial services and asset finance sector)
I have been involved in setting up and scripting call centres and managing bad debt and non-performing assets

Work Experience Summary: Strategic Role and Planning
I worked in a key role on product development reviewing and managing all aspects of a products lifecycle • legal, commercial, profitability and business plan projections, risk and compliance, IT and systems, process and procedures, training and operational management.
Most successful new product set up turns over in excess of £120m per annum.
I managed designed and made recommendations regarding business best practice and continuous improvement programmes (moved business areas within the Bank as a result of an acknowledgement of my success in this area).
I was involved with and managed a team in the customer facing Sales environment negotiating and managing new Customer Implementations, which due to the size and complexity were considered as long-term strategic partnerships. ( Business area turnover in excess of £1bn through 50-60 Customers of which I was involved in Customers whose turn over represented £900m)
I have been involved in business planning and profitability writing plans and 3 year business projection models for business units/products with turnover of £10m+
I have managed cost centre’ budgets and spending up to £2m per annum including 3 year forecasting
I took on a key role in the integration of Lex into the Bank of Scotland business and subsequently in the integration of Lex with Bank of Scotland Vehicle Finance getting involved in areas of the strategy planning and implementation

Dealing with FTSE 500 and Household’ names was a regular occurrence negotiating Credit lines up to £100m per annum
This required dealing with Customer representatives usually at Director and Board level
regularly presenting to and negotiating with Directors and Board members in addition to procurement specialist and, in the case of Contract negotiations, solicitors and on occasions external auditors
I had to ensure that the Bank maintained its basic requirements for security and reasonable profit margin but also had to ensure that the Customer was happy’ and the deal was fair and reasonable in relation to credit risk and operational support requirements
Each deal represented a long term relationship so Customer satisfaction was key to maintaining this
Process and Procedures and SLAs were also negotiated and bespoke for the Customer requirements • these needed to fit both the Banks and the Customers existing processes where possible and if new processes were required this needed to be managed and communicated into the business area supporting the contract.
Corporate Bad Debt
I Have experience dealing with and managing Professional Administrators (Liquidators) and managing non-performing assets and obtaining best value from assets through re-use or sale
I have been responsible for minimising bad debt write-off for my business area and resolving disputes regarding assets e.g. End Users, Third Party Liens
I have managed accounts with bad debt of up to £85m and 8500 assets and potential write offs in excess of £20m this particular account being one of HBOS’s biggest bad debts involving 3 business areas and total bad debt of £150m+
