Self employed position where I have gained students though word of mouth and self-promotion. Teach from absolute beginners upwards. Pupils range from children to the retired. I use Logic recording software to create backing tracks. I teach theory, songwriting and technique.

I was tasked with researching and reviewing new bands and trends. Articles published online. Helped to update copy for their online shop. Promoted competition by cold calling various organizations.
Feb 09- July 09 Accounts Assistant, Will Writing Services London
Daily use of Microsoft Office, Excel, Power Point, Adobe and SAGE. Updated client product details using the internal system and sent out letters to clients using Office mail merge. Handled large volumes of cash and cheques, and took credit card payments.
Other Jobs: worked in various pubs, often under pressure in a busy team and dealing tactfully with occasionally difficult customers. As a decorator/driver I learnt new skills on site and got stuck in with long physical tasks without complaint gaining a strong sense of satisfaction. I have worked in market research cold calling households to complete health and safety at work questionnaires.
All of my work experience has involved working within a team-based culture. This involved planning, organisation, co-ordination and commitment.

Completed an independent 5000 word dissertation on the role of music in advertising; became confident in taking direction from my tutors while developing their advice, though my own initiative, into new areas of study that would be useful in my work. I gained excellent experience in the research, organization and presentation of a complex subject.
