Identify new opportunities to raise the profile of Lund Humphries such as author/ artist events in collaboration with target organisations including specialist societies and public and private art galleries. With those institutions I also identify joint press and PR opportunities.
Create press releases for new books and select promotional images for press.
First point of contact for all Lund Humphries marketing and PR enquiries.
Build and nurture relationships with specialist press journalists. Maintain contacts. Identify key reviewers for new books and arrange for them to receive advance information and samples.
Branding including Brand Promotion including
In 2011, I initiated Lund Humphries re-branding in consultation with the Publishing Director. This involved building a brief and identifying all places where the branding is used and in what context. I worked with a designer to create the new identity which is to be used across all platforms. I am currently working with the designer to produce a set of branding guidelines to ensure consistency across all media used.
Strengthening the brand through multiple marketing channels and ensuring brand consistency throughout. Maintain awareness of competitors.
Team planning and regular meetings
Participate in monthly commissioning meetings with the Chairman, Publishing Director and Commissioning Editors to discuss new book proposals for viability in the market place.
Manage the organisation of the sales collateral in preparation for the release of new books presented to the team of sales reps.
Convene with colleagues on a monthly basis to plan future PR and marketing activities. Generate monthly reports summarising work completed and in-progress for the Publishing Director.
Create briefs and work with designers as required to produce twice yearly catalogues and other promotional pieces.
Create promotional print pieces using In Design software. Package and prepare for print. Organise print buying.
Online including Social Media
Maintain the Lund Humphries Twitter and Facebook accounts
Organise content for monthly e-newsletter including drafting copy in collaboration with the Publishing Director.
Project Management and Campaign Planning
Management of the promotion schedule with an annual budget of £35,000.
Delivery of direct mail campaigns based on allocated budgets and requirements within agreed timescales. Including liaising with designers and print agencies.
Manage annual schedule of advertising including liaison with advertising vendors.
Co-ordinate launch events including liaison with venue and parties involved.
Co-ordinate the design and mailing of the invitations and maintain the guest list. Also including liaison with the sales team and other external suppliers.
Attend launch events.
