I have worked in many fields of translation and have proven quality as I depend on thorough research tools as well as CAT tools (TRADOS) in the translation process which increases the effeciency and accuracy of the work delivered. I am also purusing an advanced degree in translation of the language pair (ENG-ARA) to enhance my knowledge and ability to carry out the work.

Work Experience Summary: Translator & Text Aligner, August 2010 – present
International Monetary Funds, Washington DC (Technical and General Services Department, Arabic Translation Section)
• Provides highly quality (English/Arabic) translation for highly technical documents in the field ‎of economics.
• ‎Responsible for the alignment translated files pairs to upload to the Multitrans system on regular basis and for adding a list of translated jobs to the Arabic textbase including some large publications as per the need and guidance of the Arabic Section.
• Analyzes and keeps record of textbases and produces a list of jobs which need to be added and those which need to be removed.
• Detects major misalignment problems in files and their formats and then work in cooperation with the responsible person on fixing these issues to build on the system textbases in both languages.

• Provides highly quality (English/Arabic/English) translation for highly technical documents in the field of development, environment, gender, economics, Microfinance ….etc.
• Translate and edit project documents, proposals and correspondence from Arabic to English and vise versa.
• Provide high level substantive editing following the agreed style and specifications (checking for spelling, grammar/punctuation/usage, accuracy, completeness and consistency) for all documents and reports according to World Bank’s formats.
• Conducts necessary research for each document being translated in order to ensure that the meaning is interpreted correctly and in full, and that appropriate specialized terminology is employed.
• Utilize Trados software in transfer from the source text into the target text using the built in World Bank translation memory.

Project Officer, Feb 2010 – May 2010
