Someone who is multi-faceted, can hit the ground running and has exceptional people skills.
I have extensive marketing, administrative and P.A experience gained within the largest music company in the world and enjoy a fast paced, demanding role.
Area Covered: Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire
Work Experience Summary: An outstanding Administrator / Co-ordinator / Secretary, offering a wealth of experience obtained in large organisations. All my roles to date have demanded:
â’¢ excellent people and communication skills
â’¢ strong attention to detail
â’¢ good analytical skills
â’¢ the ability to routinely meet very strict deadlines
â’¢ a high level of autonomy, within a team setting
I have over 10 years experience supporting the Vice President and a team of Marketing Managers in the Strategic Marketing department of the biggest music company in the world. Working at the International Headquarters required a can-do attitude, flexibility, a sense of humour and excellent communication with people on all levels. Our office was the first port of call for queries and requests from 52 territories worldwide. It was a fast-paced and challenging environment. Routinely meeting very strict deadlines was par for the course.
More recently Ive worked in a number of support roles at the Open University. My success in these roles has hinged on providing high quality and efficient administrative and secretarial support. Ive supported various senior managers: 2 Sub-Deans, a Senior Curriculum Manager, 3 Senior Academics, a Professor and 3 Senior Managers.
I have many years experience with Outlook electronic diary and mailbox management. A large part of any support role is setting up both internal and external meetings. It is vital to know which meetings are more important than others, flagging up any conflicts, negotiating times with other secretaries, giving realistic deadlines, following up on deadlines and making sure deadlines are always met.
At Universal Music, as Marketing Assistant/Co-ordinator, I compiled and administered large CD & DVD release schedules using Excel. These were utilised by sales teams worldwide to advise stores and media of upcoming releases. 100% accuracy was vital, as should mistakes be made, there would be a severe and costly knock-on effect. I also updated our intra/extranet sites with text, media and jpg files. Once again there was no room for error. I performed these tasks excellently and with little supervision. I was relied upon to consistently deliver.
I have experience monitoring expenditure on projects and marketing campaigns. Making sure budgets were adhered to. Within the Higher Education sector I have administered expense claims and tracked advertising and recruitment budgets. In my role as Merchandise Controller in the retail sector, I planned and controlled financial budgets, based on previous performance, for over 100 branches nationwide.
