I've written content for clients about everything from Stonehenge to environmental policy.
I spent years studying to earn my undergrad in English literature. At some point I realized that English alone was not enough for me. I added an economics minor and spent half my school career in a liberal arts college and the other half in the business school. As a result I am well-versed in both APA and MLA format. I can write business reports and goofy blog posts. I can write academic articles and economic analysis.
I love reading science-fiction. My favorite author is the late great and dead Phillip K. Dick. I've read a number of his books and every single one is spectacular. Yes. That is including the nonsensical tripe he wrote while speeding his mind off. I just love his style, his insanity, his witticisms, and his stories. Of course, some are clearly better than others ("Do androids dream of electric sheep?" and "A scanner darkly").
I've been working closely for the past year with the founder and chief scientist at a local firm called Ephemeron Labs. They create micro controllers for EBIC systems for scanning electron microscopes. I ghost write, edit, format, and do generally whatever else is required in the written world. This has helped me to create solid technical writing skills.
I also write for personal pleasure. I maintain a personal blog and I am currently writing some pieces for local writing contests, namely: City Paper (philadelphia PA). There are some other contests that I am currently looking into. I may submit poetry or fiction or possibly a little of both.
