Description: Marsha currently provides management, business change and organisational development consultancy. Her responsibility is to provide an independent programme/project assessments, evaluations and assurance including business analysis and change management advisory services to police officers and staff in high profile programme/projects such as the British Transport Police Authority Strategic Review of BTP as a result of budgetary constraints.
As part of her responsibilities, Marsha also advises on and ensures adherences to BTPs project management process particularly for force level projects using PRINCE2 methodology.
Marsha can also prepare and review business cases, review financial accounting positions and provide a quality assurance role within Programme Management
Marsha also provides ‘consultancy-style’ support to the BTP Strategic Command Team and Programme Board in undertaking analysis of business change issues and identifying opportunities for improvements and realising cash savings; evaluation and prioritisation of new project initiatives to ensure they are business driven; carrying out upfront business analysis (feasibility studies, options analysis and impact assessments) to help define the requirements and business scope; identifying anticipated benefits; project mobilisation (‘Start Up’ and ‘Initiation’ phases) and stakeholder engagement.
Marsh also has the responsibility in defining timescales in order to establish, monitor and control the strategic direction of various business change initiatives within BTP.
Engagement with stakeholders through various means including face-to-face meetings, workshop facilitation especially during the requirements gathering phase including prioritisation of requirements and business process modelling, and presentation of findings/recommendations to senior management at key meetings such as the BTP Programme Board.
