Summary: I have worked for 2 years in Hanley St Lukes primary school whilst completing my level 2 and 3 BTEC and NVQ childcare course 5 days a week. I am currently working in a daycare nursery. Where I work with all age ranges of children from 0-11 years.
This therefore shows my dedication, knowledge of the foundation stage curriculum, experience and understanding the characteristics of early years practice. Therefore I feel as if this training experience has prepared me for a variet of posts as I am punctual and well organized
During my time at this primary school and daycare nursery I have grown in confidence and have developed excellent communication skills with parents, teachers and children. I have been treated like a nursery practitioner, carrying out various the jobs. These include direct teaching of small groups, observations and assessments. I have been included in the planning following the Stoke-On-Trent foundation stage curriculum. Having the benefit of speaking fluent Punjabi as well as fluent English not only helps the children in their development but also the parents and staff. Ensuring that all children understand and learn in a happy, friendly and secure environment, therefore translating when needed. Having the benefit of speaking Punjabi also helps the parents to communicate at an ease as communication can be a great barrier. Having the distinction star qualification in art and design and coming in the top 1% in the country shows that I would be very creative. Also ensuring that the boards across the classroom make the nursery feel welcoming and an exciting place to learn.
I think to become a good team member and worker you have to be consistent towards your work, respect, understand, listen, have a sense of humor, show a high level of commitment and be a good team player. Therefore I think I would be suitable to join your dedicated team in delivering all the requirements that are needed.
As well as this taking into control a lot of admin work throught the day ensuring it to be accurate and punctuall.
Job Title: teaching assistant
Description: At this job i was setting out tasks for the children. entracting to ensure their learning was improving at all times. this aslo involved admin work as i would prepare the activites using a computer,photocopier, printer etc..
Therefore being punctuall, accurate, determined, a good team worker, a great sense of humor were all factors that i used to ensure i was at my best at all times.
Job Title: nursery practitioner
Description: At the daycare i am currently doing the role i did at the primary school. I decided to leave the primary school and work here as i wanted expereince with all age ranges. At this work place again this involves a lot of admin for instances updating childens records, tying up timetables, planning etc.. Again you need to be very punctual as well as accurate to encure everything is completed on time.
