Notable Professional Project Experience:
I was approached by Kingspan in order to create custom 3d models of their latest most innovative Home insulation products. Working with cad designers and marketing managers, We created over 500 individual building sections, product samples and material sketches. Other key responsibilities include designing draft ideas for presentation pitches of new consumer products.
Terminal 4, Heathrow Airport.
Key responsibilities included secure access to air side zones in order to survey, design and implement vendor stores. Costa Coffee, W H Smith and Tie Rack. Technical drawings, 3d visuals and animated media were a primary part of my role.
Cannons Health & Fitness Clubs
With locations throughout the UK, Cannons Health Clubs are relatively small yet contemporary leisure facilities. Overseeing the refurbishment of exiting buildings for the health clubs, I created planning and constructions drawings and interior design visuals. Other key responsibilities included sourcing entry systems and high quality finishes for the proposed designs.
Barratt, House Builder
How do you fit a sales, marketing, amenity area and showcase area into a 15ft by 15ft space? When the largest home builder in the UK asked to have their site cabins redesigned in one modular format, my previous experience in property development lead me to a clean, contemporary, corporate lead design. Using a simple color palette from their recently re branded website, I used blocks of colours and custom fixtures to effectively create a storyboard design. With a \'consumer journey\' in mind I devised two schemes.
Home Depot, USA
Home Depot is the American equivalent to B&Q. A key vendor within the American paint market needed a 20ft by 20ft design solution for their custom paint mixture process called \'Pain Factory\'. The whole model for the business was based around a single machine that scanned any material and could create a perfect color match and produce a bucket of paint within 2 minutes. The client requested the design be \'non conformist\' and to \'dare to be different\'. My market research into their product and that also of Home Depots, suggested to me that their had to be a certain restriction with the elaborate designs others had in mind. I sectioned the key consumer routes and formed an overall plan. Using oval fixtures and a central focal point of the machine, housed within a \'factory\' like fixture, aided my design ethos, and was interpreted by the client without explanation.
T-Mobile, AT&T, Verizon Wireless
I designed store fixtures and the layout for the stores these vendors occupied. The communications market was new to in the US. Visiting existing stores and reading through quarterly releases for each company, it became apparent that a few vendors did not meet their sales criteria for the first quarter this year. Using the information gathered, I spent four hours heading up an ideation meeting, extracting key information directly from the clients, to explore alternative design options. I created a clean, product orientated environment, thus achieving a consumer friendly environment, with hints of color in key places and well planned navigational signage.
Residential Cruise Line
Based in Arizona USA, this company is currently building the world\'s largest commercial cruise liner. I was commissioned to create a set of visuals for the main marketing and sales material. Using previous interior design experience for small spaces, I consulted to this company on various levels.
