Job Title: Graphic Designer
Main Responsibilities: I was employed by PGA to work with another designer in a team of two responsible for producing various design projects for the Welsh National Opera. This was a highly conceptual based role and demanded a high level of attention to detail. I was involved in designing posters, programmes, leaflets and postcards.
Alongside this main role I was also expected to support other members of the PGA team by working on other projects, which included clients such as, the Wales Tourist Board and University of Wales, Newport.
2005-Present: icom Works Limited
Job Title: Senior Graphic Designer
Main Responsibilities: I work for a large cross section of clients within my role at icom Works Ltd, working on a wide variety of projects, from leaflets and advertising to annual reports and exhibitions stands.
After just over 2 years working with icom I was promoted to lead/senior designer and placed in charge of coordinating all print work brought into the studio.
Within my role I have also been expected to manage certain clients print, as well as their design, putting into place schedules for clients and printers, to ensure that all timescales were met.
My role within icom means that I need to regularly meet with clients to discuss current or future projects and my role as senior designer means that I have to be continuously creative in providing solutions for a wide range of companies and organisations.
