Before I became a freelance editor and writer in 2000, I worked in-house at a variety of London-based book publishers and have overseen many books from initial concept through the editorial process to printing and publication.
I’m skilled at writing in a range of styles or voices (from factual, technical or medical to humorous) and I'm experienced at turning inaccessible, badly-structured, ungrammatical text by non-professional writers into hard-working text that’s easy and interesting to read. I am also experienced at writing magazine features and academic essays.
In addition to writing and editing, I can help with book pitches and proposals as I have extensive experience of developing strong concepts for presentation at international book fairs.
