I remained at Pittsburg State Unviersity for two more semesters, teaching freshmen composition classes while simultaneously taking additional courses in the English department as a Master's student. At the semester's conclusion this December, I plan to discontinue my education and enter the workforce.
Due to my experience both as a student of English and one of psychology, my top skills are communication, analysis, organization, and interpersonal skills. I have a high ability to communicate both verbally and in writing of all kinds. I am able to take in a high volume of information quickly and synthesize that information in order to present the key points logically and concisely. I am comfortable doing research and generating new ideas or approaches to problems as a result. I also excel at planning, prioritizing tasks, and achieving goals. I interact well with others of all backgrounds, contributing to an environment that is patient, encouraging, and non-judgemental.
I am looking for a job that encourages me to be independent and experiment with my own ideas, while also trusting me to rely on the stability of traditional and proven guidelines. I enjoy consistency and routine. I also value environments that are organized and promote order and neatness. It is imperative to me that I work in a career in which employees and clientele are treated fairly without regard to race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, creed, or national origin, and where those with the same competency level are provided with the same pay and opportunities.
